I am a registered senior paediatric dietitian in Ireland's biggest Children's Hospital, in Dublin and have several years of clinical experience. I am passionate and committed in providing the best service for families with children throughout all paediatric stages
I am a champion of breastfeeding, and support Mums and Dads with breastfeeding infants in hospital and beyond. This includes infants with feeding difficulties and/or poor weight gain. As a neonatal dietitian I work with very sick surgical babies and premature babies in an acute setting. My role also includes common feeding issues such as reflux and fussy eating and more complex problems such as food hypersensitivity, food allergies and faltering growth
I've work contractually with major global corporations such as VHI Healthcare Providers and have private dietetic clinics at the Centric Health Raheny Clinic.
I collaborate with other professionals on infant and toddler feeding topics. I worked with Aileen Cox Blundell (see The Baby-Led Feeding Cookbook: A New Healthy Way of Eating for Your Baby That the Whole Family Will Love! here) I facilitate training at our hospital for UCD dietetic students and lecture healthcare students at UCD. I qualified in 2009 with BSc (Hons) Dietetics from Plymouth University and have worked in various clinical settings with parents across the UK and Ireland. I am a member of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetics Institute (INDI) and registered with CORU (the regulatory body for allied healthcare professionals in Ireland)
